How we work

Show the work before asking for trust.

Every training, exercise, and equipment record should expose who owns it, what evidence it uses, what review it has earned, and what still blocks publication.

Accountable ownership

A byline must resolve to a real record.

Free-text names drift. Workout Authority uses validated contributor references so an author or reviewer cannot silently disappear from the content graph.

Publication states

Visible is not the same as finished.

The state label describes work completed, not confidence performed.

  1. 01

    Draft

The record is taking shape. Fields can be incomplete and no public-use claim is implied.

  2. 02

    Editorial review

Structure, internal links, constraints, source fields, and publication blockers are visible.

  3. 03

    Expert review

An accountable, qualified person is checking the record within a declared review scope.

  4. 04

    Published

The author, reviewer, review date, evidence, and source requirements for that record are satisfied.

Current guide, exercise, program, product, and setup records remain in editorial review. Their detail pages stay out of the sitemap and emit noindex until their publication gate is satisfied.

Evidence ladder

Name the kind of support.

Evidence labels prevent coaching judgment, consensus guidance, and individual studies from being flattened into one vague claim of being science-based.

01

Editorial practice

Programming or coaching judgment. Useful context, but not presented as a settled scientific claim.

02

Consensus guidance

Recommendations anchored to recognized public-health or professional guidance.

03

Systematic review

A synthesis of multiple studies used for a question the review actually addresses.

04

Primary research

A specific study used with its design, limits, and uncertainty kept visible.

Corrections

A useful record can still be wrong.

Corrections should identify the record, the disputed statement or field, and a source or observation that helps reproduce the issue.

Send a correction to hello@workoutauthority.com. Accepted corrections should update the record date, preserve the evidence boundary, and return the record to review when the change affects fit, safety, or a consequential recommendation.

No review state is protected from correction.
