Name the lane
Measure the movement path before choosing resistance.
A sled needs more than a product footprint. Mark the start, working length, stopping distance, turning area, return route, and any crossing paths. Then record the surface, slope, threshold, and whether a strap, harness, plate post, or wheel can travel through the complete lane. If a car, shared walkway, wall, or neighbor boundary sits inside the route, the room decision is not finished.
The resistance-training position stand supports matching equipment to a person's goals, schedule, and available resources. That supports a fit process. It does not prescribe a sled, intensity, lane length, load, or resistance setting for every person.

Compare formats
Friction, steel, and magnetic resistance solve different room problems.
Rogue's S-25 Fat Boy uses a fold-flat steel base and a strap for portable drags. Rogue's Echo Dog Sled adds a larger steel push-pull base, upright positions, and a loadable post. Torque's TANK M1 uses wheels and magnetic resistance rather than a plate stack. Those are manufacturer-declared formats and specifications, not independent performance rankings.
The S-25 makes the most sense when portability and a low stored height matter and the surface can accept the friction interface. The Echo makes more sense when a dedicated lane and push-pull positions earn a heavier stationary format. The TANK M1 makes more sense when changing resistance and avoiding plate loading matter enough to justify a larger machine and accessory path.

Verify surface and stop
Surface contact and stopping are part of the product choice.
Rogue describes the S-25 and Echo as steel sleds whose surface, skis, straps, and contact accessories shape the use boundary. Torque describes the TANK M1 as an all-surface wheeled sled with a solid airless tire. Those statements help identify the manufacturer's intended format. They do not inspect your concrete, turf, rubber, slope, traction, turning area, or building boundary.
Run an unloaded rehearsal first. Confirm the sled starts without a sudden jump, stops before the endpoint, turns without crossing the lane, and returns without a strap or wheel entering another path. If the surface marks, the wheels behave differently, or the stop depends on a wall, vehicle, or spotter that was not in the original plan, change the setup or the training job.

Choose the reset
The format earns its place only when the week can repeat it.
A fold-flat sled can return to a low storage state, but it still needs a place for plates, strap, and the carry path. A steel push-pull sled can stay ready in a corner, but its footprint and surface path remain visible after the session. A wheeled sled can change resistance quickly, but the larger body, attachments, and return route still need a home.
Choose the S-25 when a portable friction lane is the actual job. Choose the Echo when push-pull positions and a plate path justify the dedicated footprint. Choose the TANK M1 when wheeled magnetic resistance and an all-surface route are worth the larger system. Choose no sled yet when the room, stop, or training purpose is still a guess.
